Accessibility
Statement of September 9, 2026 · last reviewed September 24, 2026.
STANZA TRAVEL LLC wants stanzahotels.com to be usable by everyone, whatever the browser, device or assistive technology. This statement says which standard we follow, what we have verified, what we know still falls short, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
The standard we follow
We have adopted the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, as the standard of this site. Every page is built and tested against it, and no page ships while an automated accessibility check fails.
What we have verified
- Automated accessibility audits scored 100 on the three pages measured in English — home, destination and hotel — and the code carries an accessibility lint and accessibility tests.
- Every page declares its language and reading direction, opens with a link to skip to the content, and names its navigation landmarks in your language.
- Motion is reduced when your system asks for it, and the photo rotation on the home page can be paused. Controls show a focus ring when you reach them with the keyboard, with two known exceptions we are correcting: the destination field of the search shows none, and the ring is hard to see over gallery photographs in mid tones.
- The photo viewer is a real dialog: focus stays inside, returns to the photo that opened it, Escape closes it, and the caption and credit sit below the photograph, never over it.
- Forms carry visible labels, autofill purposes and errors linked to their fields; touch targets meet the minimum size the standard requires.
- The page-not-found page is built to declare its language, open with a link to skip to the content and link to every language's home, and it is checked on the live site each time a new version is published.
Known limitations
- Photo descriptions follow one pattern — the hotel's name and the kind of view — in your language; the editorial caption of a hotel photograph may remain in the language of its source.
- Status messages — an error while saving a request, «listening» while you dictate, a new reply from the concierge — are marked to be announced by screen readers, but have not yet been checked with one on this version.
- The captions over gallery tiles appear on hover only and, over light photographs, fall below the contrast the standard requires; the photo viewer repeats the same text below the photograph, cut to a single line when it is long.
- The small text over the photograph in a hotel page's banner — the price, the note on hotel fees and the line under the name — and the headline and the line under it over a city page's photograph have been measured against every photograph: on many they fall below the contrast the standard requires. Other text over photographs — such as a hotel's name in its banner, the text in the banners of zone and brand pages or on the photographs that link to cities — has not yet been measured on every photograph and screen width.
- The screen-reader review of this site is repeated on every version; its date appears below, and «pending» means this version has not been read aloud yet.
Last screen-reader review: pending for this version.
Tell us what does not work
If any part of this site is hard to use with your browser or assistive technology, write to us: say what you were trying to do, what happened and, if you wish, which browser and assistive technology you use. We answer every accessibility report personally and fix what is in our hands, and we can provide any information on this site in an accessible format on request.
- Email: [email protected], subject «Accessibility».
- Or use the request form on any hotel page and write your report in the message; the concierge reads it.
- By post: the address in the footer of every page.
