Which part of Turks & Caicos should I stay in?
Grace Bay holds three of the six – Wymara Resort, Seven Stars and Grace Bay Club on the long beach of Providenciales' north shore, calm behind its reef, with the island's restaurants and shops a few minutes back from the sand. Sunset Cove and Turtle Tail hold one – Wymara Villas on the quieter south side of the island, facing the shallow water of the Caicos Banks, ten minutes from Grace Bay. Northwest Point holds one – Amanyara at the western tip, beside the marine national park and twenty-five minutes from the airport, with the reef wall offshore for divers. Parrot Cay holds one – COMO's private island across the water to the northeast, reached by the resort's own boat. Choose Grace Bay for the beach and having everything to hand; the south side for a villa with Grace Bay within reach; Northwest Point for the wild end of the island; Parrot Cay for an island of your own.
When is the best season for Turks & Caicos – and do the hotels close?
November through April is the season – dry, warm days, the sea at its calmest and clearest, and the calendar at its fullest around Christmas, New Year and the spring holidays, when rooms go earliest. May through July is warmer, quieter and softer. August through October is the hurricane season in this part of the Caribbean, and some hotels use the low weeks for work on the property: Amanyara is closed for enhancements until 20 October 2026 and reopens for the season. No other closure in the collection is on the calendar as we write; the concierge will confirm each hotel's dates for the year before you book.
How do you get to Turks & Caicos – and to Parrot Cay?
You fly into Providenciales, the islands' main airport, with direct flights from Miami in under two hours and from New York and other cities on the US East Coast. The US dollar is the currency, English is the language and cars drive on the left. Grace Bay is a short drive from the airport; Amanyara at Northwest Point is about twenty-five minutes; Wymara Villas at Sunset Cove is ten minutes from Grace Bay. Parrot Cay is a private island, and the only way in is the resort's boat from Providenciales – the transfer is arranged with your booking, so allow for it on arrival and departure days. The concierge handles the timing.
