Ratings and trademarks

Third-party ratings and trademarks. Ratings such as Five-Star, Four-Star and Recommended are cited as published by Forbes Travel Guide in its 2026 Star Awards; MICHELIN Keys and Stars as published by the MICHELIN Guide; AAA Diamonds as published by AAA. Each rating belongs to the hotel, restaurant or spa that earned it, as of the date stated. FORBES is a registered trademark of Forbes LLC; Forbes Travel Guide is the trade name of The Five Star Travel Corporation, which uses the FORBES mark under license; MICHELIN and AAA are trademarks of their respective owners. These names are used here only to identify the ratings those organizations have published. STANZA is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or licensed by any of them, and none of them endorses STANZA or the Stanza Score. STANZA does not inspect hotels. The "Five-star" tier of this collection is STANZA's own editorial grouping: it means the hotel held a current Five-Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide, or an equivalent independent distinction, when the collection was last reviewed. It is not an official hotel classification. The Stanza Score, where shown, is STANZA's own index.

How we score

Hotel photography

The photographs of the hotels are the hotels' own marketing and press photography, shown to present each hotel and credited to it in the caption. A hotel that prefers a photograph not to appear here can write to the concierge and it comes down.

Hotel names and brands

The names of the hotels and of the groups they belong to are trademarks of their owners and appear here only to identify each hotel. STANZA is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of any of them.

Photography under Creative Commons

The following photographs are published by their authors under Creative Commons licenses on Wikimedia Commons and appear here with the credit each license requires. Cropping and resizing for the page are the only changes.

Edited photographs

The following photographs are Creative Commons or public-domain photographs from Wikimedia Commons that we edited with generative AI, keeping some of its changes to color, light, sharpness and the texture of sky, water or foliage, and restoring from the original every object and detail the AI invented or erased. Wherever one appears, its credit says "edited image". Each names its author and license and describes the changes; its author does not endorse the edit.

Color-adjusted photographs

The following photographs are Creative Commons or public-domain photographs from Wikimedia Commons whose color, light, sharpness and contrast we adjusted, and whose sky grain we smoothed, with the same fixed settings for every photograph, without AI and without adding, removing or moving anything. Wherever one appears, its credit says "edited image". Each names its author and license and describes the changes; its author does not endorse the edit.

Photography from the Four Seasons Press Room

The following photographs come from the Four Seasons Press Room image library, whose usage rights were read on September 6, 2026. Each carries the credit that library asks for: the photographer's name, where the file records it, followed by Four Seasons; otherwise the copyright notice of Four Seasons. Cropping and resizing for the page are the only changes.
