A sense of the place

Why it's in the collection

Because a restaurateur built it and it shows – five restaurants and bars under one roof, Arizona's largest rooftop restaurant among them – and this independent hotel, open since 2023, holds four-star standing, which is exactly how we list it.

  • Opened on December 6, 2023: a 141-room hotel by restaurateur Sam Fox at 44th Street and Camelback Road, where Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley meet – architecture by Nelsen Partners, interiors by Judi Testani of Testani Design Troupe, landscape by Berghoff Design Group.
  • Belle Epoque meets Buenos Aires: white brick and wrought-iron balconies outside; oak floors, Matouk linens and Byredo amenities in the rooms.
  • Five restaurants and bars – thea, the Mediterranean rooftop and Arizona's largest rooftop restaurant; Le Âme, a Parisian steakhouse; Pink Dolphin, Peruvian-Mexican by the pool; Le Market café; and the Lobby Bar – plus a private restaurant inside the members-only Global Ambassador Club.
  • The Spa, with cryotherapy, acupuncture, hot tubs and cold plunges, and a 9,000-square-foot fitness facility; the hotel holds four-star standing, a tier below the corridor's one five-star, and we list it as exactly that.
