A sense of the place

Why it's in the collection

Because 83 keys opened in 2023 behind a Salmani façade of Tuwaiq mountain stone, with a butler for every room and the largest spa of any hotel in Riyadh, in the quarter of Via Riyadh built around them – and St. Regis holds it to four-star standing, listed at exactly the tier it holds.

  • 83 keys in Via Riyadh, opened in 2023 – the five-hundredth luxury address of Marriott's portfolio; a St. Regis hotel.
  • A Salmani exterior of Tuwaiq mountain stone; a butler for every room, as at every St. Regis; the largest spa of any hotel in Riyadh.
  • Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star 2026 for the hotel.

The neighborhood

Diplomatic Quarter, Al Hada & Via Riyadh

The green west of the city – the Diplomatic Quarter, Al Hada and Via Riyadh, with three of the six hotels. The Diplomatic Quarter, the gated district of embassies, was laid out in the 1980s on the edge of Wadi Hanifah, with its parks, its walking trails and Tuwaiq Palace. Al Hada, the district of grounds and gardens, lies beside it on Mecca Road; Via Riyadh, the open-air quarter of restaurants, shops and cinemas, opened in 2023; and beyond them runs the road to Diriyah and At-Turaif.

  • The restaurants, shops and cinemas of Via Riyadh, at the door.
  • The Diplomatic Quarter, a few minutes by car.
  • Diriyah and Bujairi Terrace, twenty minutes to the north-west.
