A sense of the place

Why it's in the collection

Because a hamlet above the vines of Gargas was turned into a village of sixty-nine rooms with a spa and a cycling center – and the house holds four-star standing.

  • A hamlet above the vines at Gargas, between the ochers of Roussillon and Bonnieux; independently owned, a Relais & Châteaux house.
  • 69 rooms and suites in the village houses; a large spa, a cycling center, and the restaurants Les Vignes & Son Jardin and Cipressa.
  • Two MICHELIN Keys in the 2025 selection; holds four-star standing.

The Luberon: Gordes & Bonnieux

The massif and the valley between the Monts de Vaucluse and the Durance hold four of the fourteen hotels. They take in Gordes on its rock with Sénanque Abbey in the fold below, the ocher cliffs of Roussillon, Joucas and Gargas above the vines, Bonnieux, Lacoste and Ménerbes along the northern face, Lourmarin and Lauris on the southern one, and the Friday market at Lourmarin.

  • The vines and the road to Roussillon, from the door.
  • Roussillon and its ocher trail, a few minutes' drive.
  • Bonnieux and Gordes, across the valley.
