Meadowood Napa Valley
St. Helena's 1964 private club, back at 36 rooms and rebuilding after the Glass Fire.

A sense of the place

Why it's in the collection
Because even at 36 rooms, with its restaurant still to be rebuilt, it holds five-star standing for both the lodge and the spa – and the 250 acres, the croquet lawns and the nine holes are all still there.
- A 250-acre estate in St. Helena, founded in 1964 as a private club; the 2020 Glass Fire took the clubhouse and more than fifty rooms, and the resort reopened in spring 2021 at a reduced scale, with a phased rebuild under way.
- 36 lodge-style rooms and suites – Hill House, Treeline Suite, Treetop, Cottage and Oakview – by Napa architect Howard Backen.
- Five-star standing for both the resort and Meadowood Spa, its all-suite spa – the only property in Northern California that can say so.
- Dining at Forum and the Terrace Cafe for now; Christopher Kostow's The Restaurant at Meadowood is closed while a new fine-dining restaurant is designed, with his Charter Oak in St. Helena as the interim table.
