Knightsbridge, Belgravia & Kensington
The south side of Hyde Park, from Hyde Park Corner to Kensington Palace – home to thirteen of the forty-three hotels. Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Sloane Street are for the shops, and Belgravia keeps its white stucco squares; the King's Road and Chelsea lie below Sloane Square. The museums of South Kensington stand on the way to Kensington Gardens.

Westminster & St James's
The royal quarter between Piccadilly and the river – home to seven of the forty-three hotels. St James's Street and Pall Mall are for the clubs and the shirtmakers, with St James's Park and the Mall, Buckingham Palace and the Royal Mews beyond. Whitehall and Horse Guards run down to Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament.

Covent Garden, the City & South Bank
The line of the river from the Strand to the Tower – home to eight of the forty-three hotels. It takes in Covent Garden and the Royal Opera House, Somerset House and Holborn, the Square Mile with St Paul's and the Bank of England, and Tower Bridge. Across the water stand the Shard, Borough Market, the Tate Modern and Nine Elms.
