A sense of the place

Why it's in the collection

Because the grand dame of 1913 on the Promenade des Anglais is still an independent house, a listed historic monument with Chantecler at its table – and it holds four-star standing, listed at exactly the tier it holds.

  • Opened in 1913 on the Promenade des Anglais, its pink dome the landmark of the Baie des Anges; independent, owned by the Augier family, and a listed historic monument.
  • Chantecler, the restaurant, holds two MICHELIN stars.
  • Two MICHELIN Keys in the 2025 selection; holds four-star standing.

Nice, Cannes & Cap d'Antibes

The Baie des Anges and the coast west of it, with six of the nineteen hotels. Nice and the Promenade des Anglais come first, then Cap d'Antibes between Antibes and Juan-les-Pins, and Cannes and the Croisette facing the Îles de Lérins. The hill villages of Saint-Paul-de-Vence and Vence lie twenty minutes inland.

  • The Promenade des Anglais and the Baie des Anges, at the door.
  • Vieux Nice and the Cours Saleya market, a short walk east.
  • The Colline du Château and the Musée Matisse at Cimiez.
