The Canyon Suites at The Phoenician · Scottsdale & Paradise Valley

The Luxury Collection hotels in the Stanza collection

Two Luxury Collection hotels are in the Stanza collection, in a single destination: Scottsdale & Paradise Valley. What they share is the same ground — the 250-acre Phoenician estate of 1988 at the foot of Camelback Mountain, with its Carrara marble, gold-etched lobby ceiling, three-story spa and Phil Smith golf course; and, inside it, the sixty suites of The Canyon Suites, an enclave with a pool, ambassadors and, since February 2026, eight villas of its own. The Canyon Suites hold five-star standing, the only hotel in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley or Phoenix to do so; The Phoenician is a four-star address and is listed as such. Each page shows a reference rate per night, and the concierge confirms exact rates and availability before anything is booked.

Where does Stanza list Luxury Collection hotels?

In one destination, Scottsdale & Paradise Valley, on one estate: The Phoenician's 250 acres at the base of Camelback Mountain in the Camelback Corridor, where The Canyon Suites is a sixty-suite enclave behind its own gate and The Phoenician is the resort around it.

What distinguishes the Luxury Collection hotels in the collection?

Each was admitted on its own merits, one hotel at a time, never by brand — here two pages for one estate, because the two hold different tiers. The Canyon Suites earned five-star standing in 2026, the only hotel in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley or Phoenix to hold it, with a Canyon Ambassador for every stay, a chauffeured house car, a private pool and eight villas opened in February 2026. The Phoenician, the 1988 resort of Carrara marble and a gold-etched ceiling, has held four-star standing for twenty-four consecutive years, and we list it at exactly that tier.

When is the best time to stay at a Luxury Collection hotel?

October through April is the season — dry, clear days, cool nights and the trails at their best — with February and March the peak, when spring-training baseball and the golf tournament week at TPC Scottsdale fill the valley, so book early. Summer is the other Scottsdale: afternoons well above a hundred degrees, the resorts at their quietest and the pools the whole point, with monsoon storms over Camelback from July into September. The destination page carries its note on the months, and the concierge advises on dates for either hotel.

How do I reserve a Luxury Collection hotel through Stanza?

Search your dates on the hotel's page to see the reference rate and what is available, then send a request — the concierge confirms exact rates and availability with you before anything is booked, and nothing is charged in advance.
