Nine Auberge Resorts Collection hotels are in the Stanza collection, in eight destinations. Auberge began with one of them, Auberge du Soleil, the Provençal inn on a Rutherford hillside that started as a restaurant with a view in 1981; the others run from a 3,500-acre ranch at Wanship and the silver-boom Hotel Jerome of 1889 in Aspen to cliffs and coves on the Los Cabos Corridor, twenty-six suites on Geneva's Quai Wilson, a whitewashed house on Santorini's caldera and cottages on the Kiawah River marsh. Five hold five-star standing; four are four-star addresses, labeled as such. Each hotel page shows reference rates for your dates, and the concierge confirms exact rates and availability before anything is booked.

Where are the Auberge houses of the collection?
In eight destinations. In the United States: Napa Valley & Sonoma, at Rutherford; Park City & Deer Valley, on a ranch at Wanship; Aspen; Charleston & Kiawah Island, on the Kiawah River; and Hawaii Island, on the Kohala Coast. In Mexico: Los Cabos, which has two — Esperanza on the cliffs of Punta Ballena and Chileno Bay on one of the Corridor's few swimmable beaches. In Europe: Geneva, on the Quai Wilson, and Santorini, on the caldera at Imerovigli.
Where did Auberge begin, and which of its houses here carry older histories?
In Rutherford, in the Napa Valley: Claude Rouas opened The Restaurant at Auberge du Soleil in 1981 and added the inn in 1985 — the founding property of the collection, fifty rooms and suites in Provence-inspired maisons on 33 acres of olive and oak. Older still is Hotel Jerome in Aspen, built in 1889 at the height of the silver boom and restored by Auberge in 2012, its J-Bar still pouring at the original bar; The Woodward in Geneva occupies a century-old building on the Quai Wilson; and Mauna Lani, on the Kohala Coast, is Auberge's rebirth of the 1983 resort beside the fishponds of Kalahuipua'a.
When are the Auberge houses at their best?
In the mountains, Aspen's ski season runs from late November into April and Park City's lifts from early December into April, while the Lodge at Blue Sky, on its ranch at Wanship, also offers riding and fly fishing. Grace on Santorini keeps the island's season, from around April to the end of October. Los Cabos is at its best from November through May, and the Kohala Coast of Hawaii Island is dry and sunny nearly all year, with the whales from December to March. The Napa Valley is at full stretch at harvest, from late August into October; Kiawah in spring and autumn; Geneva from May to September.
