The collection
7 hotels
Seven Jumeirah hotels are in the Stanza collection; two hold five-star standing. They span four destinations: Dubai, with four, Abu Dhabi, Amalfi Coast & Capri and London. Jumeirah is the Dubai group founded in 1997, known first for the Burj Al Arab it opened on the city's shore in December 1999; London was its first step outside the Gulf, when it took over the Carlton Tower in 2001, and the Capri Palace joined it in 2019. In Dubai the collection holds the sail itself — 199 suites in a tower 321 meters tall on its own island off Jumeirah Beach — and three houses of Madinat Jumeirah across the water: Al Naseem, the newest, opened in 2016 on the beach facing the Burj Al Arab with the turtle lagoon at its feet, Al Qasr, the palace on the beach, and Mina A'Salam, the boutique house at the entrance beside the souk; in Abu Dhabi, a beach resort on Saadiyat's turtle-nesting sands, a few minutes from the Louvre Abu Dhabi. On Capri the house is a palace hotel, with L'Olivo at its table, the Capri Beauty Farm inside and Il Riccio, its beach club, down at the Blue Grotto; in London, the tower on Cadogan Place, renewed top to bottom in 2021, with a 20-meter pool under glass on the roof, The Peak health club and Cadogan Gardens below. Jumeirah Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Al Naseem hold five-star standing; Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Mina A'Salam, Jumeirah Saadiyat Island, Jumeirah Capri Palace and Jumeirah Carlton Tower are four-star addresses and are listed at exactly that tier. Each page shows a reference rate per night, and the concierge confirms exact rates and availability before anything is booked.
Good to know
Where does Stanza list Jumeirah hotels?
In four destinations: Dubai, where the collection holds four — Jumeirah Burj Al Arab on its island 280 meters off Jumeirah Beach, joined to the shore by its own causeway, and Jumeirah Al Naseem, Jumeirah Al Qasr and Jumeirah Mina A'Salam in Madinat Jumeirah across the water, on the beach; Abu Dhabi, where Jumeirah Saadiyat Island stands on Saadiyat Beach, where the hawksbill turtles nest, a few minutes from the Louvre Abu Dhabi; Amalfi Coast & Capri, where Jumeirah Capri Palace stands on the island; and London, where Jumeirah Carlton Tower stands on Cadogan Place, off Sloane Street, with views over Cadogan Gardens, Harrods a few minutes' walk and Sloane Square and the King's Road down the street.
What distinguishes the Jumeirah hotels in the collection?
Each was admitted on its own merits, one hotel at a time, never by brand. What the seven share is water at the heart of the house — a beach, a pool, a spa: in Dubai, the all-suite sail of December 1999, 199 suites in a tower 321 meters tall on its own island, and the three houses of Madinat Jumeirah on the beach, with the canals and abras, the souk and Talise Spa between them and the turtle lagoon of the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project at Al Naseem's feet; in Abu Dhabi, a beach resort on Saadiyat's nesting sands; on Capri, the Capri Beauty Farm inside the palace hotel and Il Riccio, the beach club and restaurant, on the water at the Blue Grotto, with L'Olivo at table — a seasonal house, and the concierge confirms its opening dates; in London, the 20-meter pool under glass on the roof of the Cadogan Place tower, renewed top to bottom in 2021, and The Peak health club beside it. Jumeirah Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Al Naseem hold five-star standing; Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Mina A'Salam, Jumeirah Saadiyat Island, Jumeirah Capri Palace and Jumeirah Carlton Tower hold four-star standing, and we list them at exactly that tier.
When is the best time to stay at a Jumeirah hotel?
It depends on the destination. The Amalfi Coast and Capri run on a season: most houses open around Easter and close in late autumn, and the island goes quiet from November to March, so the concierge confirms the Capri Palace's opening dates for your stay; May, June and September are the weeks to aim for, July and August hot and crowded. London belongs to late spring and early autumn — May, June and September — with the Chelsea Flower Show in late May and Wimbledon at the turn of July taking the rooms of Knightsbridge and Chelsea months ahead; July and August are the warmest and busiest months, the run-up to Christmas the fullest for the grand houses, and January and February the quietest. The Gulf runs on its winter: Dubai and Abu Dhabi from about October to April, with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend at the end of November or the start of December and the weeks from mid-December through the New Year's Eve fireworks at the Burj Khalifa taking the rooms first, and Art Dubai bringing the galleries to Madinat Jumeirah in spring; from June to September the heat is the fact of the day, when the resorts are at their quietest. Each destination page carries its note on the months, and the concierge advises on dates for a specific hotel.
How do I reserve a Jumeirah hotel through Stanza?
Search your dates on the hotel's page to see reference rates, then send the concierge a request. The concierge confirms exact rates and availability with you before anything is booked, and any payment and its timing are set out before you confirm.
