A sense of the place

Why it's in the collection

Because Rosewood turned the former Palace of Justice on the Prinsengracht into a house with 41 suites among its rooms – and it holds four-star standing, listed at exactly the tier it holds.

  • The former Palace of Justice on the Prinsengracht, the outermost of the three great canals, converted by Rosewood; a Rosewood hotel.
  • 41 suites among its rooms; the Leidsegracht and the Nine Streets a few steps along the canal.
  • Two MICHELIN Keys in the 2025 selection, its first; holds four-star standing.

Canal Ring & Centrum

The three great canals and the old center at their core – home to five of the six hotels. The Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht were dug in the 17th century around the Singel and have been a World Heritage site since 2010. At the core stand Dam Square and the Royal Palace, with the Flower Market on the Singel; the Nine Streets and the Jordaan lie to the west, Rembrandtplein and the Amstel to the south-east.

  • The Prinsengracht and the Nine Streets, at the door.
  • Leidseplein and the Vondelpark, a few minutes' walk south.
  • Museumplein and the Rijksmuseum, a short walk across the Singelgracht.
