A sense of the place

Golden hour over Yorkville & Bloor Street

Why it's in the collection

Because a landmark of 1936 on the corner of Avenue Road and Bloor Street was rebuilt from the inside in 2021 – two hundred and nineteen rooms, the Writers Room bar on the roof of the north tower and Joni on the ground floor, opposite the Royal Ontario Museum – and the house holds four-star standing, listed at exactly the tier it holds.

  • At Avenue Road and Bloor Street, opposite the Royal Ontario Museum, at the edge of Yorkville; a Park Hyatt house.
  • 219 rooms in the two towers of the 1936 landmark, rebuilt and reopened in 2021; the Writers Room rooftop bar; Joni restaurant.
  • Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star 2026 for the hotel and for Joni; One MICHELIN Key in the 2025 selection; holds four-star standing.
