The Capra
Zermatt & Saas-Fee · Swiss Alps
A sense of the place
Why it's in the collection
Because the resorts here take pride in a humble familiarity with the land rather than competing with it, and The Capra — named for the mountain goat of the Valais — is the newest and most polished of them, small enough that every suite gets the peaks.
- In the car-free village of Saas-Fee, in the upper Valais; independent house.
- Suites with private balconies; the spa; the fireside bar and the Brasserie; the Thursday chef's table in the cellar.
- Saas-Fee, the Pearl of the Alps, ringed by four-thousand-meter peaks; floor-to-ceiling windows, wood and stone with heated floors in every suite; the expansive spa; local cheese and Valais wine at the fireside bar; the Brasserie's farm-to-table plates.
- Two MICHELIN Keys in the 2025 selection; holds four-star standing.
