A sense of the place

Morning over Courchevel 1850

Why it's in the collection

Because LVMH opened its first Cheval Blanc on the Jardin Alpin piste in 2006, ski-in/ski-out, with Yannick Alléno's Le 1947 inside – and the house holds five-star standing here.

  • The first Cheval Blanc of LVMH, opened in 2006 on the Jardin Alpin piste of Courchevel 1850; ski-in/ski-out.
  • Le 1947, Yannick Alléno's restaurant; the Distinction Palace since 2011; Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star 2026 for the hotel.
  • Three MICHELIN Keys in the 2025 selection – on which it holds five-star standing here.

The neighborhood

Morning over Courchevel 1850

Courchevel 1850

The highest of the Courchevel villages and the one with the grand hotels – four of the six are here. The Jardin Alpin and Bellecôte slopes run down into the resort, the Rue des Clarines and the Croisette sit at its center, the altiport lies above, and the lifts of the Trois Vallées lead toward Méribel and Val Thorens.

  • The Jardin Alpin piste, at the door.
  • The Croisette and the lifts of 1850, a few minutes downhill.
  • Méribel and Val Thorens, across the Trois Vallées on skis.
