STANZA is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of Maybourne.

Six Maybourne hotels are in the Stanza collection; five hold five-star standing. They span three destinations: London, Los Angeles & Beverly Hills and French Riviera & Monaco. What they share is one house — the one behind Claridge's, The Connaught and The Berkeley — and its way with a city. In London, the Art Deco grand dame of 1856 on Brook Street, with the Claridge's Spa opened in 2024 and the Fumoir; the house on Carlos Place with Hélène Darroze's three-star restaurant, the Connaught Bar and the Aman Spa; the Knightsbridge house on Wilton Place with a pool on its roof looking over Hyde Park and the Blue Bar; and The Emory, 61 suites in a Richard Rogers building opened in 2024, with Surrenne, the wellness club, over four floors. Outside London, the two grounds it chose: in Beverly Hills, the Spanish Colonial hotel of 2008 on Canon Drive beside Beverly Canon Gardens, Maybourne's since December 2019, with a rooftop pool in blue mosaic and Prêt-à-Portea, the couture afternoon tea, brought over with the name; on the Riviera, the house it built in 2021 on the cliff above Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, 65 suites and studios hung over the sea with Monaco below and Menton beyond, and Mauro Colagreco's Ceto at its table. Five hold five-star standing; The Emory is a four-star address and is listed as such. Each page shows a reference rate per night, and the concierge confirms exact rates and availability before anything is booked.

Where does Stanza list Maybourne hotels?

In three destinations. London holds four: Claridge's on Brook Street and The Connaught on Carlos Place, both in Mayfair, and The Berkeley on Wilton Place and The Emory beside it, at the Belgravia end of Knightsbridge, across the road from Hyde Park. Los Angeles & Beverly Hills holds The Maybourne Beverly Hills, on Canon Drive beside Beverly Canon Gardens, two blocks from Rodeo Drive; and French Riviera & Monaco holds The Maybourne Riviera, on the cliff above Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, with Monaco and Monte-Carlo a few minutes down the hill, the medieval village of Roquebrune on the slope below and the Cap-Martin shore path to Le Corbusier's Cabanon and Menton beyond.

What distinguishes the Maybourne hotels in the collection?

Each was admitted on its own merits, one hotel at a time, never by brand. The London four are the house itself: Claridge's, the Art Deco grand dame of 1856 with the Fumoir and a spa opened in 2024; The Connaught, with Hélène Darroze's three-star dining room, the Connaught Bar and the Aman Spa under one roof; The Berkeley, with its rooftop pool over Hyde Park and the Blue Bar; and The Emory, opened in 2024 — 61 suites and nothing else, in a building by Richard Rogers, with Surrenne over four floors below. The two outside London are its sisters abroad: in Beverly Hills, the hotel opened in 2008 as Montage Beverly Hills and taken over by Maybourne in December 2019 — a ninth-floor rooftop pool in blue mosaic tile, Dante Beverly Hills on the roof, The Maybourne Bar for caviar and oysters and the Prêt-à-Portea tea each awards season; on the Riviera, the clifftop house of 2021 with 65 suites and studios over the sea and Ceto, Mauro Colagreco's restaurant, open all year. Five hold five-star standing; The Emory is a four-star address, and we list each at exactly the tier it holds.

When is the best time to stay at a Maybourne hotel?

It depends on the destination. London belongs to late spring and early autumn — May to June and September — and stays full through Christmas, with Wimbledon and Trooping the Colour taking the rooms of Mayfair and Knightsbridge months ahead. Los Angeles is mild all year, clearest from September through November, and Beverly Hills fills for the awards season in winter. On the Riviera, May, June and September are the weeks to aim for, warm enough to swim with the coast road not yet full; two weeks in May fill Monaco years ahead — the Monaco Grand Prix at the end of the month above all — and the Monaco Yacht Show does the same in late September; winter is mild and quiet, and The Maybourne Riviera stays open all year. Each destination page carries its note on the months, and the concierge advises on dates for a specific hotel.

How do I reserve a Maybourne hotel through Stanza?

Search your dates on the hotel's page to see reference rates, then send the concierge a request. The concierge confirms exact rates and availability with you before anything is booked, and any payment and its timing are set out before you confirm.
