Three J.K. Place hotels are in the Stanza collection; two hold five-star standing. They span three destinations: Rome, Amalfi Coast & Capri and Paris. What they share is Michele Bönan's hand and the scale of a private house, each independent under the J.K. Place name: in Rome a townhouse on Via di Monte d'Oro in Campo Marzio, a few streets from the Spanish Steps — the most intimate of the six houses we list in the city, and the only townhouse among them; on Capri a villa above Marina Grande, the island's harbor, with a pool facing the bay of Naples and the JKitchen at its table; in Paris a townhouse of 29 rooms on rue de Lille, a street from the Musée d'Orsay, with an indoor pool and the Italian table Casa Tua. J.K. Place Roma and J.K. Place Capri hold five-star standing; J.K. Place Paris is a four-star address and is listed as such. Each page shows a reference rate per night, and the concierge confirms exact rates and availability before anything is booked.

Where does Stanza list J.K. Place hotels?

In three destinations, one hotel in each: Rome, where J.K. Place Roma stands on Via di Monte d'Oro in Campo Marzio, a few streets from the Spanish Steps and Via Condotti, with the Ara Pacis toward the river and the Pantheon and Piazza Navona on foot; and Amalfi Coast & Capri, where J.K. Place Capri sits above Marina Grande, the harbor of Capri, with the ferries to Naples, Sorrento and the coast below the house and the funicular up to the Piazzetta; and Paris, where J.K. Place Paris stands on rue de Lille in the 7th, a few minutes' walk from the Musée d'Orsay, with Saint-Germain-des-Prés at the door and the Tuileries across the Pont Royal.

What distinguishes the J.K. Place hotels in the collection?

Each was admitted on its own merits, one hotel at a time, never by brand. The three are Michele Bönan's houses under the J.K. Place name, each independent and each kept to the scale of a private home: in Rome, the only townhouse among the six houses we list and the most intimate of them; on Capri, a villa with a sea-facing pool over the bay of Naples and the JKitchen as its restaurant; in Paris, a townhouse of 29 rooms on rue de Lille with an indoor pool and Casa Tua at table, the more intimate of the two houses we list on the Left Bank. J.K. Place Roma and J.K. Place Capri hold five-star standing; J.K. Place Paris holds four-star standing, and we list it at exactly that tier.

When is the best time to stay at a J.K. Place hotel?

It depends on the destination. Rome belongs to spring and autumn — April to June and September to October — with Easter the week that fills first; July and August run hot, and the city empties in mid-August. Capri runs on a season: most houses open around Easter and close in late autumn, and the island goes quiet from roughly November to March — J.K. Place Capri is seasonal, and the concierge confirms its opening dates for your stay. May, June and September are the weeks to aim for, warm enough to swim with the boats not yet full; July and August are hot and crowded. Paris belongs to spring and early autumn — April to June and September to early October — with Fashion Week taking the rooms months ahead and the city emptying in August. Each destination page carries its note on the months, and the concierge advises on dates for a specific hotel.

How do I reserve a J.K. Place hotel through Stanza?

Search your dates on the hotel's page to see reference rates, then send the concierge a request. The concierge confirms exact rates and availability with you before anything is booked, and any payment and its timing are set out before you confirm.
