The collection
4 hotels
Four InterContinental hotels are in the Stanza collection, in four destinations. They are Number One Park Lane, at Hyde Park Corner, on the site of the house where Queen Elizabeth II lived as a child; a house on the Estoril seafront between Cascais and the casino gardens; a resort around a lagoon on Phuket's Kamala beach; and overwater villas on Motu Piti Aau in the Bora Bora lagoon, in the first resort in the world cooled by deep-sea water. All four are four-star addresses, labeled as such. Each hotel page shows reference rates for your dates, and the concierge confirms exact rates and availability before anything is booked.
Good to know
Where are the InterContinental houses of the collection, from Park Lane to Motu Piti Aau?
In four destinations, one house in each. London: at Hyde Park Corner, with Wellington Arch at the door and Green Park and Buckingham Palace a few minutes' walk away. Lisbon & Cascais: on the Estoril seafront, with the beach of Tamariz at the door and the casino and its gardens across the road. Phuket & Krabi: on Kamala beach, on Phuket's west coast, five minutes on foot from the village. Bora Bora & French Polynesia: on Motu Piti Aau in the Bora Bora lagoon, twenty minutes by the resort launch from the airport.
What does each InterContinental house here keep, at table and on the water?
Number One Park Lane keeps Theo Randall at the InterContinental, its Italian restaurant; Cascais-Estoril, an outdoor pool above the Atlantic and the restaurant Akla; the Phuket resort, rooms, suites and villas built around a lagoon in Thai heritage design, with the sand at the end of the garden; and the Bora Bora house, run with Pacific Beachcomber, overwater villas facing Mount Otemanu, the Deep Ocean Spa, Le Corail and its French cellar, and the Brando Suites at the end of the pontoons.
When is each InterContinental house at its best?
Bora Bora from May to October, the dry season, cooler under the trade winds, with the Heiva festival in Papeete in July; Phuket from November to April, before the south-west monsoon brings rougher seas to the west-coast beaches; Cascais-Estoril from April to June and in September and October, with the sea at Cascais still warm into October — and in July and August the Atlantic keeps Estoril a few degrees cooler than the city; and Park Lane in late spring and early autumn, or in January and February, the quietest weeks, for a room over the park at short notice. Each destination page carries its note on the best months, and the concierge advises on dates for a specific hotel.
How do I reserve at an InterContinental, from Park Lane to Bora Bora, through Stanza?
Search your dates on the hotel's page to see reference rates, then send the concierge a request. The concierge confirms exact rates and availability with you before anything is booked, and any payment and its timing are set out before you confirm.
