Four Capella hotels are in the Stanza collection, in four destinations. Three hold five-star standing: two 1880s barracks on Sentosa's hillside, joined into a resort by a curved new wing; a house on the Chao Phraya at Charoen Krung in Bangkok; and a small hotel beside the opera house in Hanoi's Hoan Kiem. One is a four-star address, labeled as such: tented retreats in the Keliki rainforest above the Wos river, north of Ubud. Each hotel page shows reference rates for your dates, and the concierge confirms exact rates and availability before anything is booked.

Good to know

Where are the Capella houses of the collection, from Sentosa to Hoan Kiem?

In four destinations, one house in each. Singapore: on the hillside of Sentosa above the south-coast beaches, with Palawan and Tanjong ten minutes on foot downhill. Bangkok: on the river at Charoen Krung, between the old trading quarter and Saphan Taksin. Vietnam: on Le Phung Hieu Street in Hanoi's Hoan Kiem, beside the opera house, minutes on foot from Hoan Kiem Lake. Bali: in the Keliki rainforest, north of Ubud, fifteen minutes from the Tegallalang rice terraces.

What does each Capella house here keep of its own?

On Sentosa, two 1880s Tanah Merah barracks joined in 2009 by a curved new wing — 113 rooms, manors and villas on thirty acres, with the Auriga Spa; in Hanoi, Bill Bensley conceived the house as a tribute to the opera house next door, with rooms and suites on the opera theme, the Regale spa, Backstage, Diva's Lounge and Koki, the Japanese restaurant; in Bangkok every room and villa faces the Chao Phraya, with Côte by Mauro Colagreco on the riverfront and Auriga Wellness for the mornings; and in Ubud the tented retreats, each with a saltwater pool, are styled on the explorers' camps of the 1800s.

When is each Capella house at its best?

Singapore the year round — its months differ in rain, not temperature, and February to April are the driest; Bangkok from November to February, the cool and dry season, when the river houses fill first in December; Hanoi in October and November and from March to April, between a cool, gray winter and a hot, wet summer; and Ubud in Bali's dry season, from April to October. Each destination page carries its note on the best months, and the concierge advises on dates for a specific hotel.

How do I reserve at a Capella, from Sentosa to Ubud, through Stanza?

Search your dates on the hotel's page to see reference rates, then send the concierge a request. The concierge confirms exact rates and availability with you before anything is booked, and any payment and its timing are set out before you confirm.
